Alpha Gamma Delta was founded in 1904 at Syracuse University. Currently, there are over 180 collegiate chapters and over 250 alumnae clubs. Alpha Gamma Delta is a member of the Syracuse Triad, along with Gamma Phi  Beta and Alpha Phi. The mascot for Alpha Gamma is the squirrel. Notable alumnae include: Rita Coolidge (singer), Jani Macari Pallis (founder of Cislunar Aerospace) and Gloria Loring( singer, author and actress).
