Alpha Gamma Rho was founded at Ohio State University in 1904. There is currently a chapter at almost 70 campuses nationwide. AGR has historically been strictly an agricultural fraternity, but recently they have expanded their membership to those people pursuing careers in agriculture, food, fiber, natural resources, life sciences and other related fields. Notable alumni include: Rick Perry (Governor of Texas), Adam Putnam (Florida Agriculture Commissioner) and Peter Oppenheimer (former CFO of Apple).
