Phi Kappa Tau was founded at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio on March 17, 1906. Currently, the fraternity has over 140 chapters and around 5,000 collegiate members. According to their constitution, Phi Kappa Tau is one of a few fraternities that can accept graduate students as well as undergraduates. Phi Kappa Tau has its own foundation, called the Phi Kappa Tau Foundation and it was created in 1945 as a separate charitable organization. Famous alumni include: Paul Newman (actor, founder of Newman's Own), AL Barry (NFL player) and M Frank Rudy (NIke Air Sole inventor).
